Monkee’s Makes Its Way to Mississippi

Grand Opening in Ridgeland Scheduled for August 2019

July 2019 – Monkee’s, an upscale ladies boutique that features designer shoes, clothing, and accessories is scheduled to open its first store in Ridgeland, MS, in August of 2019. The store will be located at 1000 Highland Colony Parkway, Suite 7001, in the Renaissance at Colony Park.

Local store owner Suzanne Ketchings is a native Mississippian who grew up in North Carolina, where the first Monkee’s store was founded in 1995 and the franchise is headquartered. She has been an enthusiastic Monkee’s shopper for many years. After moving back to Mississippi and attending college and law school at Ole Miss, Ketchings decided to fulfill her dream of owning her own business.

“Always my go to for every occasion, I love the comfortable, stylish and fun atmosphere Monkee’s stores offer. Coupled with my love of everything fashion, Monkee’s was a natural fit,” said Ketchings.

The Renaissance at Colony Park is already filled with great specialty retail and dining.  Ketchings says her Monkee’s store will be a perfect fit at the popular shopping destination.

“I am thrilled to bring the Monkee’s shopping experience to Mississippi and to offer personalized service to our customers in the Jackson area and beyond,” said Ketchings.

Ridgeland will be the first Monkee’s location in Mississippi. All of the independently owned and operated Monkee’s boutiques can be found in 10 states, including the 4 new stores that are scheduled for opening in Fall 2019.

Designed to look like your (well-heeled) girlfriends closet, the boutique’s signature chandeliers, comfy couches and stunning shoe galleries are all staples in a Monkee’s store.
